Why Alf Havuz

Why choose a liner membrane over ceramic tiles in heated pools?

In bungalow resorts, glamping sites and four-season villa pools, elevated water temperatures put conventional tile finishes under stress:

Thermal expansion resilience
While tile adhesives weaken under warm-cold cycles, a flexible liner membrane expands and contracts seamlessly.
Joint-free watertightness
Water leaks that start in cracked ceramic grout lines cannot occur in a welded single-piece liner surface.
Existing pool renovation
We resurface leaking tiled concrete pools with a flexible liner membrane without demolition.

Four-season pool enclosure models

Four custom-built enclosure configurations tailored to your pool dimensions:

  • Foldable (Körüklü) Model

Practical folding canopy mechanism; retracts completely in summer and protects in winter.

  • Sliding Telescopic (Kayan) Model

Polycarbonate modules gliding on rails for year-round indoor swimming.

  • Round (Yuvarlak) Model

Aerodynamic dome geometry offering high resistance to wind and snow loads.

  • Inflatable (Şişme) Model

Rapidly deployed seasonal air-supported dome cover.

Frequently asked questions

All questions

How should I choose between a prefabricated liner, fiberglass and concrete pool?

Choose a prefabricated liner pool for fast installation, a flexible watertight liner and balanced budget; a polyester (fiberglass) pool if crane access allows a one-piece shell placed in a single day; or a reinforced concrete pool for custom geometry, steps or an overflow system. During our site planning consultation we evaluate all three options for your plot.

How does 1-day installation work for prefabricated and fiberglass pools?

Once excavation and base preparation are complete, modular wall panels and the liner membrane (for prefabricated pools) or the factory-moulded monoblock shell (for fiberglass pools) are delivered to the site and assembled within a single day, followed by plumbing hook-up for water filling.

Why do you recommend a liner membrane instead of ceramic tiles in heated pools?

In heated pools, warm water and thermal cycling can weaken tile adhesives over time, open grout joints and cause micro-cracks that leak water. A flexible PVC liner membrane adapts to thermal expansion as a continuous watertight layer with no grout lines, eliminating leak risks.

Can you convert my existing tiled pool to a liner membrane system?

Yes. On existing concrete pools suffering from water leaks, degraded grout or loose tiles, we prepare the substrate and install a flexible liner membrane—restoring complete watertightness without demolishing the pool.
